Biography

I discovered drums after hearing Use Your Illusion in 1992, and started to really focus after hearing Tool's Aenima in 1996. I then studied jazz, funk and prog rock for 3 years @ Box Hill College of Music, and came 3rd in a particular drum wizardry contest in 2003.

As I was building my teaching business (at one stage with 70 students a week), I did over 500 gigs in the Top 40 pub and Nightclub scene, all over Victoria 2-3 nights a week.

In 2007 I released 'Creative Drumming Made Simple' (available through AMPD), which is a unique beginner book that really helps kids with the creative process. In 2008 I released the first 2 volumes of the extremely cheap and useful 'Drum Teacher Toolbox', available digitally from www.drumhappy.net - which is another labour of love.
